Daniel Doktori

Daniel Doktori is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at American Public Media Group.

Daniel Doktori joined APMG most recently from the British publishing and learning company Pearson, which acquired Credly, Inc., a SAAS startup named a 2021 Deloitte Fast 500 company, in 2022. He served as general counsel and chief of staff at Credly, helping the company scale from a five-person startup to an industry leader serving thousands of enterprise customers and tens of millions of users. At Pearson, Doktori managed legal for several software and associated services businesses in the workforce skills division.    

In preceding roles, he served as a corporate attorney for a leading law firm, executive director for a blue-ribbon gubernatorial task force promoting industry and higher education partnerships and served in the administrations of two governors of New York.  

Doktori serves on the board of Hypothekids, a nonprofit that provides hands-on STEAM education and internship opportunities to underrepresented K-12 students; and as chair of the board for OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research and government transparency group tracking money in politics and its influence on elections and policy.      

His educational background includes a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a master’s from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a bachelor’s degree from Stanford.
