The Current Goes To Duluth For a Summer Weekend of Fun

Team Current heads to the Northland once again this summer for a weekend of local music and brews, July 21-23.
On Thursday, July 21, The Current and New Belgium present the next Micro Show with P.O.S. at Zeigeist Theater. Before the show, enjoy a happy hour event featuring New Belgium Brews. Tune in to win tickets to attend the event. No tickets are available for purchase.
Oake and Riley in the Morning will broadcast live from Lake Ave Café on Friday, July 22 from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. Guests for the show include Charlie Parr, Mayor Emily Larson and New Belgium Brewing Head Brewer Lauren Salazar. Free and open to the public.
Head over to Bent Paddle Brewing after work on Friday for the All Pints Eve Bent Paddle Hootenany, featuring live music from Clover Street Cronies, Black River Review, Space Carpet. The event is free and open to the public and food will be available for purchase from several food trucks on site. Bent Paddle opens at 2 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m. Later that evening, The Current presents a free concert at Red Herring Lounge, featuring Mark Mallman, Silverback Colony, Fraea, and Ingeborg von Agassiz, and more. Set times will be confirmed at a later date.
On Saturday, July 23, Team Current will be hanging out at the All Pints North Summer Beer Fest at Bayfront Festival Park. Current DJs Brian Oake, Jill Riley and Jade will emcee and spin tunes throughout the afternoon. The 4onthefloor and Viva Knievel will headline the musical portion of the festival, which will be the biggest All Pints North yet, featuring 120 breweries from Minnesota and across the country. The event takes place 3 - 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance when purchased online. Tickets are also available at the door for $55. Sober driver tickets are $10.
Then, on Saturday night, join The Current and Bauhaus Brewing for another show at Red Herring Lounge. The lineup includes Bruise Violet, The Social Disaster, Sonic Intension, and Kitschy Gloomy. Tickets are $7-10 and are available at redherringlounge.com. Doors at 8 p.m./ Music at 9 p.m.
