Calling All Artists: Minnesota Public Radio Issues Call for Entries for MPR 50th Anniversary Calendar
Jun 23, 2016
In 2017, Minnesota Public Radio will turn 50 and as part of the kick off celebration, MPR is seeking submissions of visual representations of what MPR has meant to the artist or to the state.
One submission will be chosen from all eligible entries to be reproduced on a special 50th anniversary commemorative calendar, which will be used as a membership thank you gift and will be displayed on the MPR.org website throughout the year. The winner will receive a $2,500 honorarium.
A panel of judges consisting of MPR on-air personalities and staff as well as representatives of the Minnesota arts community will select one winner, after the public narrows the submissions down to 12 finalists.
The judges are:
Megan Johnston, executive director, Rochester Art Center
Anne Dugan, executive director, Duluth Art Institute
Roger Cummings, chief cultural producer and co-founder, Juxtaposition Arts
Christina Chang, interim director and curator, Perlman Teaching Museum
Ali Lozoff, director, MPR 50th Anniversary
