MPR News with Angela Davis to Launch Monday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m.
Nov 26, 2018
St. Paul, Minn., Nov. 26, 2018 – Starting Dec. 3, veteran Twin Cities journalist Angela Davis will host a new program on MPR News. The show aims to help make sense of Minnesota news, issues, and how we’re living our lives. Davis will talk with Minnesotans close to the issues and invite the audience to join the conversation. MPR News with Angela Davis will air weekdays at 11 a.m. on 91.1 FM in the Twin Cities and on MPR News stations throughout the state.
“I can’t wait to get this conversation going,” Davis said. “I expect that we’ll cover a wide range of topics, but really dig into how these issues affect the day-to-day lives of Minnesotans. I’m particularly interested in the challenges people are facing when it comes to parenting and employment, as well as managing mental health and physical fitness. I’m curious about the state of education in Minnesota, what’s being done to protect our environment and the unique challenges that people of color and Minnesotans in small towns are confronting daily. Our listeners, their lives and families are the real stories behind the headlines and those are the conversations I’m most excited to facilitate.”
Davis joined MPR News in November 2018 after more than 20 years of reporting and anchoring in the Twin Cities and other cities throughout the country. She is active in the community, having served on the Board of Directors for Twin Cities Academy and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Minneapolis and as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She lives in St. Paul with her husband and two children.
