MPR Appoints Sid Gandhi to Board of Trustees

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 11, 2019 — Minnesota Public Radio recently elected Siddharth “Sid” Gandhi as the newest member of the organization’s Board of Trustees. Gandhi serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Enterprise Technology Officer at Securian Financial Group.
Gandhi has been with Securian Financial for nearly 10 years and has led strategic planning efforts that have expanded the organization’s capabilities and taken advantage of growth opportunities in new markets. Gandhi is currently leading a technology transformation initiative at Securian to enhance productivity and the customer experience, while focusing on cybersecurity and risk management in technology.
“Sid’s strategic expertise in the areas of tech and consumer experience are a valuable addition to our board,” said Jon McTaggart, CEO of Minnesota Public Radio. “We look forward to having his perspective at the table and hearing his ideas for how we can deepen our relationship with our audiences.”
Prior to joining Securian Financial, Gandhi held leadership positions at Wolters Kluwer and Ameriprise Financial.
An active member of the Twin Cities community, Gandhi is a member of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management Board of Overseers, former chairman of Visit St. Paul, and has been named as a Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree. In addition to his service on the MPR Board of Trustees, Gandhi is also on the board of Asset Allocation and Management Company.
Gandhi received a Bachelor of Science in economics and computer science at University of Michigan and went on to earn his MBA in finance and marketing at University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
